4 Cups Fresh Blackberries, mashed
3/4 Cup Sugar
3 Tbsp. Tapioca
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Pie Crust (with extra dough for lattice on top of pie)
2 Tbsp Butter, cut into small pieces
- Preheat oven to 350*.
- Mix berries, sugar, lemon juice and tapioca in a large bowl. Pour mixture into pie crust.
- Top filling with small pieces of butter. Finish with second half of crust (lattice, crumbles, etc.)
- Brush top of crust with egg white and dust with loose sugar.
- Bake pie for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool slightly, serve with vanilla ice cream.
